On holiday with granny and grandad

During the holidays, after 2 days at Puy du Fou, Granny and Grandad took me to Sèvre autruche. I had never seen ostriches so close up, they were like velociraptors! And their eggs are enormous. We had fun in the giant maze, I found the exit first. We had a picnic next to the shop for lunch and Granny bought some ostrich paté. After that, we did a treasure hunt at the château de Bressuire. Dame Jeanne’s husband has gone to join King Louis XI, leaving her alone at the château. Before leaving, he hid some treasure which meant the château could be rebuilt and Dame Jeanne needs help finding it. So, we helped her! In the evening, we ate duck at a farm which serves meals (it was delicious!) and we slept in a straw hut, unusual accommodation, on a farm, Les Noues de Puy Jean. It’s cool to be lost in the middle of the countryside, soothed by the sound of the animals!
